The Folkpark is situated just outside Omagh and the curators of the museum were kind enough to allow us to perform an overnight investigation.
The park highlights the individual reasons for migration, from religious dissenters to the simply poor, and shows how they lived before and after crossing the Atlantic. You are literally re-living the migrants' experiences, up to and including crossing over to America on a tall ship.
We invited the PIG’s along with us, and they were kind enough to bring along their night vision cameras. We set up base in the Campbell house which is reported by staff in the park to be the place that they don’t like being in alone. We had to split into three groups for this investigation as the park is extremely large with both an American and Irish side.
Unfortunately during this investigation no one experienced anything paranormal except a few knocks within the Campbell house and some shuffling of footsteps outside the school room. We hope to return to the park and cover the American side as we just didn’t have enough time to cover both in one night.
The park is well worth a visit and the staff are very friendly and more than happy to answer any questions you have while in the different houses.
