Interview with Richard Jones Print E-mail
Richard Jones Richard Jones was kind enough to answer some questions for us.

1. What was your first paranormal experience?

My first paranormal experience that I truly can't explain was in 2003 at Rait Castle in Scotland when I heard footsteps on a stone stairway, went to investigate and found nobody there. The castle is a ruin in a wood and I was the only person there.

2. What was it that first got you interested in the paranormal?

As a child I loved to hear ghosts stories and explore places that were said to be haunted. It just grew from there!

3. Your all time favourite haunted location?

Ooh that's a tricky one. There are so many. I would say Hermitage Castle for its location.

4. What does your family and friends think of your interest in the paranormal?

They are very supportive and often ply me with spirits!!

5. Have you ever been really scared at a location?

I can't say I've ever been really scared. Unnerved a few times, but never out and out terrified.

6. what is your theory on orbs?

I find them interesting, but I think many of them can be explained away. Dust particles, reflected light etc.

7. I am researching Static electricity (or electrostatic energy) and the theory that spirits can harness this to manifest or move objects, what are your thoughts on this?

I think anything is possible.

8. what has been your funniest moment during your research?

When a landlord of a pub near Bath locked me in and threatened to call the police because I had been taking photographs and he thought I was planning to rob the pub!

9. What is your favourite ghost story?

A story of which there is a version in many places in which a lady dies and is buried in her wedding dress and wearing her wedding ring. Someone then goes to steal the ring and finds she wasn't dead at all. She either then goes home and lives happily ever after or else the family won't let her in because they think she's a ghost and she dies of Hypothermia.
